  • Ilagan in 2003
    is the cleanest and greenest municipality in region 02 and the 3rd cleanest
    and greenest in the country. a presidential plaque was given by no less than GMA in a fitting ceremony held in malacaniang then.

 

  • St Ferdinand Catholic Church -  Saint Ferdinand is the patron saint of Ilagan. The feast(fiesta) of Ilagan is celebrated every last week of May. The town celebrates it with gusto. People from different locations (barangays) come to town to celebrate. The Bell can be heard as far as Sta Isabel 15-20 km north. Mass is celebrated every morning.

     

     

     

  • Pinacanauan River - The secondary river of Ilagan. One tributary passing through Barangay Villa Imelda then Sierra Madre range East of Ilagan. While its main passes through the towns of Benito Soliven, San Mariano South East of Ilagan and as far south as Aurora Quezon. The attributes of this river is its crystal clear and torbulent flow from springs of Sierra Madre Mountains. The river bed changes its course every years when the monsoon rain comes. The river rises to more than 50 meters which floods and isolate Ilagan to the rest of the rest of the world.

     

     

  • Malalam - Is a barangay of Ilagan, located 4km south of town proper, by the national highway it is about 15 km. Pinacanauan river passes thru Malalam bridge and is good for picnic and swimming the best place is north of the bridge because under the bridge the water is deep and green in colour. The western side of the Bridge is a cliff where people climb up and dive to the river 60-70 meters below. It is through this place that the supply for aggregate and sand used in construction within and neighbouring towns. East of Malalam bridge is where Narra furnitures are made from butakas, doors, dinning tables, lounges, chairs and the like with exquisite designs are exported all throughout the country.

     

     

  • Alinguigan 2st, 3rd - is located East of Malalam, Narra furnitures are made like butakas known as rocking chair, door panel, dinning tables, lounges, chairs and the like with exquisite designs are exported all throughout the country.

 

  • Sta Victoria Caves - Is located East of Ilagan along the foot of Siera Madre mountians.
